Text and Images - Add and Format Images

Using the Text and Image editor, you can illustrate your text content with images, creating visually attractive articles and presentation pages. To add an image, open the Text and Image editor and click inside the text where you want to position the image. Then from the toolbar select the Insert Image icon . An Image upload panel will open on the right:

Choose File from the drop-down to upload images which are stored locally on your computer. Just click on the Browse button, locate the image and click Open to Upload file.
By choosing URL from the drop-down, you can add an image from some online location. Just copy the address of the image, paste it inside the URL field and click Set URL.

Once you have uploaded your image inside the Text and Image editor you can adjust and modify it further. Click on the image and an Image editing panel with additional options for setting size, border, wrapping styles and effects will open to the right.

The General settings will allow you to change the image size by specifying the desired width and height. When changing size, it is recommended to click the padlock icon so that proportions will be constrained and your image will not be distorted. I.e. when you change the width, the height will be adjusted proportionally, keeping the width / height ratio the same.
You can always return to the original size of the image by clicking the Reset link.

Please note that by changing width and size of an image directly in the editor, this will only visually scale it to the new dimensions when the browser loads the page, but the image itself will retain its original size. That's why if you wish to optimize a very large image for faster loading it is recommended to resize it in an external image editing program before uploading it inside the Text and Image editor.

The rollover caption field allows you to specify some description text related to the image - it will appear when you place your cursor over the image.  The rollover captions also have a role for the proper search engine optimization of your website, so it is recommended to add them for key images on your pages.

You can add a Border to your images by specifying the border width in pixels and selecting the desired border color from the color icon to the right.

The border color icon will open a separate color toolbox with recommended colors, an option to select your own color from a color palette or remove the current color. When you select your border color click Apply and review it in the editor.

You can choose between three Wrapping styles for each image - no wrapping, left wrap and right wrap.

To further adjust the positioning of the image in relation to the text content, you can specify top, bottom, left and right spacing in pixels.

The Effects and Editing section will allow you to apply some  visual effects to your image.

To apply a visual effect, click on the image, then from the Effects dropdown select the desired effect.  Then click Update button and preview the effect on the page.  Please note that the applied effect will not be visible within the editor itself.
